Baked Ziti With Ricotta

Tired of Lasagna and Bolognese sauce? Mix it up with this fusion of the two!

 




 

Ingredients:

1 box of Rigatoni

1 pound of Ground Beef

1 Onion

4 Cloves Garlic

1 Can of Rao's Marinara Sauce

1 Can of Crushed Tomatoes

Mozzarella

Parmesan

.5 Container of Ricotta

Spices of Choice, I used:

Chili Powder

Salt

Peper

1 tbsp Sugar

Italian Herbs


Instructions:


Heat oven to 350 and put a pot of water to boil. Start sauce by sautéing onion and garlic. Add your ground beef and cook until brown. Add whole box of rigatoni once water comes to a boil. Add can of Rao's sauce, crushed tomatoes and spices to the cooked ground beef. Begin assembling Ziti by putting a layer of sauce at the bottom of an oven safe dish. Then mix the rest of your sauce with your rigatoni and ricotta. Then add a layer of the rigatoni to the dish, add mozzarella and parmesan then repeat until you are out of rigatoni. The top layer should be mozzarella and parmesan. Bake in the oven for 20-25 mins until the cheese has melted and browned at the top.
